Mar. 29th, 2009 09:55 amHi fitgeeks!
I'm all motivated today, because I just joined Sparkpeople, which is great. It's flashy, it's got a nutrition tracker like Weight Watchers Online, and it's FREE. Very much unlike WW Online.
Also, fat acceptance/size acceptance is very important to me. I have a little short-term goal of losing 10 pounds, because that's about what I put on over the winter, and I'd like to fit back into my pants. I also like to look in the mirror and see my rolls of fat, my "muffin top", all these bits of me that are so opposite what the media is always screaming at me to want to be, and like them. I still haven't accepted my fuller chin. Possibly by the time I start to like it, I'll start to lose it. But I'll be a good practice, because my weight and fitness level fluctuates a lot, so I bet I'll see that chinny chin chin either next winter or some other winter.
It's great to be able to have both mindsets at the same time. As for the diet, I think my ticker will thank me, and I've never had my cholesterol checked, but I'm sure its levels, what ever they are, will be going down a bit. Also, I'm looking to get more active, and Sparkpeople is a great way to reward myself for it in a very addictive way (they give you points! Like a game!). I think increased activity will do wonders for my energy level. I think I'm going to rely less on coffee.
I love springtime!!
Oh, and a photo. Here's my chinny chin chin. This photo is from January. My userpic is from October, when I was about 10 lbs. lighter than now.
