What, you mean I can't just say I'm on a diet and magically lose weight? I actually have to put in some effort? What kind of nonsense is that??

What with one thing or another, it's been difficult to diet recently. Hosting two parties in two weeks while simultaneously trying to whip our yard into some vague semblance of order makes for a David uninterested in controlling what he eats. I've also only been running three days a week instead of four for the last couple weeks, and then usually only for forty five minute runs (about 4-4.5 miles). I'm trying to switch my long runs to Mondays in order to fit my training schedule better and it's tricky to do so. Fortunately, it turns out that working in the yard burns a couple calories.

It's also worth noting that I feel like I'm more fit now than previously at this weight. I still have a spare tire, but it seems smaller than it should be. Likewise, pants that would normally be comfortable or even snug at this weight are loose. So, um, yay? My face is still a bit too jowly for my tastes and I need to get rid of the rest of this spare tire, so I'll probably try and nut up and diet for a few weeks. I'd really like to get below 210 before the Disneyland trip. A trip that is looming closer each day. Each pound I lose is one pound I don't have to haul 13.1 miles.
