Starting Weight: 228.0
Current Weight: 228.0
Weight Loss this Week: N/A
Total Weight Loss: N/A
Goal: 200

Clearly, it was time for the diet to begin. I'm actually pretty happy that I didn't weigh more this morning. See, for quite some time I've been enjoying the benefits of running and it was keeping the weight off without having to diet. I was hovering around 210, which, while not ideal, was totally acceptable. My goal has always been to get below 200 again (which I haven't seen since I moved to California) but getting below 210 gets rid of my double chin and in general makes my face look thinner (and gets rid of most of the belly).

Anyway, since I've been adjusting my stride I haven't been able to run as much as I used to, and so my weight has been creeping up. Therefore, it's time to go back onto the modified weight watchers plan. Basically, 28 points per day with two cheat days. I'll still try to run three days per week, but the distances will be determined by how my legs feel. We'll see how that works out for me. It's almost bikini season!

Little changes, here and there, little pickups to your exercise routine. I've found adding lots of veggie protein and fiber to my breakfasts and lunches really helps keep me full and energized for the day. Bulgur wheat tabbouleh, red kidney beans and almonds in salad, that sort of thing. It's a tough balance, I find, increasing the amount of exercise I do and not crashing from having eaten poorly hours before.

You can dooo eeet! I don't know about you, but the first place I lose weight in is my face, so I bet you'll see results pretty quick.

Clifs and Lunas are good for breakfast, though I've heard folks warn away from using sports bars as meal replacements (not sure why?!).

While you're waiting for your garden to warm up, maybe getting CSA produce might be a fun way to get more greens?
CSAs for Washington, use the search for closer ones to you: http://www.localharvest.org/search-csa.jsp?scale=&lat=&lon=&x=36&y=93&ty=6&zip=&st=51&but.x=41&but.y=7&but=s)
