Recommended BMI weight for 5'4": 140-145
Goal: 170

My doctor says that I could stand to lose more than 30 pounds, but I think 170 is a good compromise.

I've gained more weight in the past few years. It's due eating out more, lack of a consistent exercise program and my day job and meager artist career keeping me at a desk. I used to fence on a regular basis, but the costs of time and money threw that out the window. I've started some free weights and walking during my lunch break, but I need to ratchet it up. So, I'm dragging the bike out and I plan to bike to work for at least two days out of the week. It's about 45 minutes round trip with the first leg to the day job being uphill and taking about 35 minutes.
