motivation

I haven’t posted much here because there hasn’t been much progress on my part. Between a hectic day job and doing art at night, I spend a lot of time sitting down. I’m also finding it difficult to get motivated and then keep a consistent work out schedule. So, I ask if you would share some motivational techniques or suggestions. (Yes, I know there are always bets, but other alternatives would be nice.)

Find an organized event that you can commit to. For example, when I first started running, I committed to doing these charity 5k runs (with my dad even). That way I knew that by race day I had to be able to run 5k or I'd embarrass myself. After that I needed to improve, or be able to run a 10k, etc. Like my dad says, if you have a race coming up you aren't just running, you're training.
