Fitness Update
Oct. 12th, 2009 09:08 amFirst, the good news. I weighed in at 214.6 this morning, which is very respectable, all things considered. I wasn't especially good on the diet, but nor was I especially bad. I'm sure the 2 hour run didn't hurt. Speaking of which, did that nice long run, but took it relatively easy on the last two runs of the week. The Saturday run was unusually easy because we had a new runner with us (or at least she hadn't been running in ages).
That was actually good, because I was starting to feel kinda crummy on Saturday and by yesterday it was clear that I had caught some sort of cold. This is not a shock since whenever
random_girl gets sick she wants to snuggle on me and find new and exciting ways of infecting me. She claims it's just snuggling, but I'm not buying it. I'm sure exhausting and dehydrating myself with running had nothing to do with it and I even tried to sterilize my system with ethanol one night. I even used some lavender vodka, which, you know, astringent.
Anyway, I don't have high hopes for this upcoming week. I'm going to try and be good diet-wise and do some easy runs later in the week. I spent yesterday sitting on my butt and drinking tea, which is also the plan for today. Plenty of vitamin C too, I'm hoping to head this thing off before it becomes the full blown death flu like everyone else is getting.
