Disneyland Half Marathon Course

For those who are interested, this is the map of the course of the half marathon I'm training for. Interestingly, it has us running out of Sleeping Beauty's Castle instead of running into it, which is more aesthetically pleasing. Still, any race course with directions that include "run around Big Thunder Mountain" and has a drawbridge...

I do notice one ominous thing on your course: if it were me, I'd want to have iPod headphones blaring my favorite music at the end of Mile 3, so that "It's a Small World" is not the very last thing you hear before leaving the park... to loop in your head for the next TEN MILES. And it can so easily match one's stride.

Please take this, not as an earworm, but as a sign of my esteem for you, so that you can be forewarned and prepare against that eventuality.

Oh, I already have plans to make a 3 hour playlist of upbeat, excercise appropriate music. The extra half hour or so is just in case. Although, admittedly, the Dick Dale soundtrack to Space Mountain, the Barenaked Ladies version of Grim Grinning Ghosts, and the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy version of I Wanna Be Like You will probably all make it on the list. I'm saving the Atomic Fireballs' Man With the Hex for somewhere around Mile 11-12 when I really need it.
