I stayed home ill Thursday and Friday last week, and while I tried to eat in a healthful manner, I did make a few food choices based on expediency rather than health (although those choices were relatively healthy considering the alternatives: an El Pollo Loco chicken salad, and chicken sandwich).

I must have done something right, however, because that week I had lost 5 lbs, according to my Saturday morning weigh-in.

Celebrated with some food rewards this weekend, and back on track today.

There was perhaps a bit more fudging of the numbers last week than I normally would have liked. I couple of days I went over my limit by a couple of points, and one day I was over by five or six. On the other hand I was much better with the running than I have been (as noted earlier in this community). Getting new running shoes can but help that. Although having worn them around walking a few times to break them in, I'm beginning to think it's actually my Birkenstock's that are screwing up my ankle. Further experimentation will need to take place, no doubt.
